From Hong Kong to Beverly Hills 90210



One recent deal closure involving both Engel & Völkers in Hong Kong and Engel & Völkers in Beverly Hills, California, demonstrates particularly well just how incredibly valuable the Engel & Völkers global referral system is for the network.

A Singapore-based family approached Chris Liem, Licence Partner of Engel & Völkers Hong Kong, after he was recommended by several government officials from both Singapore and Hong Kong.

“I have good contacts with family offices in Asia and with the Singapore Consulate, a broad network with the established families in Asia,” said Chris Liem. “In this case, I advised the owners on their properties, as well as providing support on financial, strategic and business matters. The buyer is based in Beverly Hills and reached out to the Engel & Völkers shop after finding the property online. The home’s proximity to the famous Beverly Hills Hotel and good schools, in addition to its size and elegance, were exactly what the buyers were looking for, The estate changed hands for 9.4 million US dollars, which is approx. 8 million euros.
